Saints,
I have a confession to make, and I hope we can learn form each other’s disobedience. Often unbelievers ask “Where is God and why did He allow this or that disaster to happen?” And truth is that God is waiting on His church (the sons of God) to awake from our slumber and become the true body, hands and legs of our Lord Jesus Christ.
During the early morning hours of the Virginia Tech shootings, the Lord through the Holy Spirit, woke me up and asked me to pray as a disaster was about to happen, the urgency was very great, and I felt the great urgency in the Holy Spirit. I was very tired, I told the Holy Spirit that I could not awake to pray and that I was going back to sleep. I do not always disobey; in this case I did, and did not even allow the Holy Spirit to pray through me in Spirit. The rest is History. Thank God for His mercies.
Since then, anytime I hear an unbelievers ask “Where is God and why did He allow this or that disaster to happen?” I carry my head in shame because the real question should be “Where are the sons of God (the church) and why did they allow this or that disaster to happen?”. It is not God but we the sons of God that continually fail creation.
So let us recount who we are in Christ:
• Christ has given us all power over the enemy; nations, principalities, earthly powers….
• We are possessors of the earth; anything we bound on earth is bound in Heaven.
• We hold the key of David in Christ Jesus; key that opens all spiritual doors, the master key.
• The power to live for Christ through the Holy Spirit; all power, love in Heaven and earth reside in the Holy Spirit.
• Through the Love of Christ in us we are called to be servant to all without discrimination.
Slumber no more Saints for this is the appointed time to shine forth; creation groans for us to awake and possess in Jesus name.
May the love of God break forth in the heart of the church; a divided house can not make war or have a common enemy; only in oneness can we face our common enemy; warfare is prayer and calling the things that be not in Jesus name. Amen in Jesus name.
