Natural Flow of the Gifts of God

John 6:38
“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.”
John 5:30
“I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.”
John 2:16
”And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.”
2 Peter 2:3
”And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”

Saints,
It is said that in the last days men shall be scoffers seeking honor, being covetous and proud. Similar to the time of our Lord’s ministry on earth, they seek to make the house of the Lord a place of merchandise; often out of ignorance owing to the blindness that so easily besets us when we walk not in the spirit.

I asked the Lord why only on certain occasions were His gifts manifested through us, and He said “Man is subject to God not God subject to man”. On the surface these words seem very simple and rather self-explanatory, and then I realized that “the gifts of God are subject to the Holy Spirit and the will of the Father in Christ Jesus”. This means that the working power of the gifts of Holy Spirit are totally subject to the will and timing of God and not that of man; anything subject to man is corruptible, and anything subject to God is incorruptible.

Therefore anyone completely in tune with the will of God at any given time will have all the gifts of God manifested at the acceptable time to the glory of God. This goes to expatiate the words of our Lord Jesus Christ when He said “He did only what He saw the Father doing”; He worshipped the Father in Spirit and in Truth, therefore the works were of the Father since He was privy to the will of God at all times.

For those who are privy to the will of God, Led by the Spirit of God, the gifts of God will flow naturally according to the will of God; All action is initiated of God. Any action initiated by man is covetous, corruptible and tend to make merchandise of the house of God.

For Jesus told Nicodemus: John 3:8 “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”

In conclusion if we are led by the Spirit all action is initiated of The Holy Spirit and we are led not through knowledge but through obedience.
