“Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
It is often said that against Humility there is no weapon, it is also said that humility is remedy for the deceitful heart; we must be careful because there is a false humility that emanates from the flesh in pride. Evil has no power over a truly humble heart; not humble person but a humble heart, they are different; God searches the heart and is not mocked by mere appearance. There is humility in spirit which is a truly humble heart, and there is humility in flesh which comes from a prideful mind and deceitful heart.
The Lord once said “the devil has no power over the humble and no weapon formed against the humble will succeed”, this is very true.
“By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.”
The word says that if we truly humble ourselves as our Lord Jesus that our yoke will be light; the humble and meek will reside the bosom of The father, in the secret place of the most High God of Heaven.
Like the prodigal son the first step towards repentance is humility after which the Lord bestows on us faith and the ability to Love like Him, and oneness in Spirit.
Jesus paid the price that we may acquire these gifts freely restoring us to the original intent of creation.
